ROCKHILL CAUCASIANS is dedicated to responsible breed promotion and preservation. The integrity of Caucasian Ovcharka breed enthusiasts is the source of strength and influence from which the general public will determine the reputation of the Caucasian Ovcharka breed. As breed enthusiasts, we must recognize our ability to make an impact upon breed ownership and the well being of dogs and their owners. This obligation to the breed will best be achieved through a breeder Code of Conduct to guide our professional business practice.
Rockhill Caucasians shall:
1. Conduct business in a professional manner, honestly and with trust and respect.
2. Assist in maintaining the honor and reputation of the Caucasian Ovcharka breed and avoid any form of fraud, deception or impropriety.
3. Serve our clients competently and proficiently with proper care and attention.
4. Use professional judgment on behalf of each client without regard to personal interests or interests of other clients or the desire of another person(s).
5. Continue to further our education and increase our knowledge, skills and experience to stay current and be able to increase the well being of ourselves, the profession, clients, customers, dogs, the Caucasian Ovcharka dog ownership community and other, if any, affiliated bodies.
6. Support the use of accepted and established tools of the trade and techniques and practices including, but not limited to, those techniques and practices described in published books, videos, and professional seminars.
7. Give all dog or puppy applicants an honest evaluation and only approve applicants deemed competent or capable of owning the Caucasian Ovcharka breed and not give false information to potential or current Caucasian Ovcharka owners in assurances to obtain dogs, employment, sales and/or status.
8. Accept that individual client costs including initial puppy/dog price, crate or shipping fees shall be a matter between Rockhill Caucasians and our clients and shall remain confidential and not disclosed to third parties.
9. Use professional judgment and where it is considered of benefit to the client and/or dog, engage in consultation with other professionals to seek advice and assistance. All communications between professionals with regard to clients shall be responsible, respectful, and effective while endeavoring to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the breeder/client relationship.
10. Conduct ourselves in a businesslike and professional manner while maintaining empathy and understanding for the needs of the client, customer and dog.
Rockhill Caucasians, while striving to maintain the highest standards of conduct, shall not and cannot be held responsible in any way for the individual acts of its puppy/dog buyers or other affiliates.
